Farming Internship - Pest Management

Here's what you'll do:
Our internships offer hands-on experience in the field with mentorship from experienced professionals!
Summer interns are selected to assist department managers in specific operations of the farming business, which are related directly to students' course of study. Interns receive excellent experience to supplement their classroom education.
Pest Management Research Intern
Researching and analyzing pest activity including field trials to study the effectiveness of various pesticides, development of semiochemical approaches as alternatives to neurotoxic pesticides and studying the behaviors and attributes of insects detrimental to almonds, pistachios and pomegranates. Includes conducting and coordinating field and laboratory experiments and data analysis. This position is available at various locations - Lost Hills, CA, Shafter, CA and McKittrick, CA.

Here's what you bring to the table:
* College upperclassmen (juniors & seniors); Others levels may possibly be considered
* Currently studying in Agricultural related field
* Computer proficient in Word, and Excel, and use of the Internet
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Research and analysis skills* Ability to write and present reports as requested
