JOB TITLE: Sr. Technical Analyst - Merchandising Allocation and Replenishment The primary duties of the Senior Technical Analyst are to lead the technical implementation of enterprise systems starting from product selection to post go-live support. To provide input to project plan tasks, perform detailed systems design, develop programming specifications, code programs and test programs and systems. Prepare, plan, design and develop complex application and system configurations to facilitate application functionality. Prepares and maintains technical system and application documentation and provides user support and training. To ensure the technical integrity of the applications / environments in their area of expertise. To support the analysis, evaluation, and system specifications / configurations to process data based on user requirement. Serve as the senior level of technical escalation in problem analysis and support solution recommendations. Serve as a source of information and coach for Level I and II Technical Analysts. Oversees knowledge transfer sessions between implementation team and the application support organization. Provide guidance to the application support organization in the determination of Root Cause Analysis for application problems and recurring issues. Support the application DBA's as a technical resource for the applications in their area of responsibility. Conduct system performance analysis to ensure continued uninterrupted functioning of the applications in their area of responsibility. Assist in the development and review of application coding standards. Participate in testing initiatives to ensure that all technical design specifications have been met prior to releasing any application to Business Users for their testing. Maintain a working knowledge and be able to trouble-shoot all applications in the eco-system surrounding the application in their area of responsibility. How You Will Make a Difference: * Partner with the global Merchandising leadership teams in the areas of Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting to implement a new leading-edge Blue Yonder Luminate platform * Lead the implementation of the Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting from Inception to post Go-live support ensuring the technical solutions meet business requirements * Evaluate and recommend changes to the technical operating environment to ensure consistent delivery of services across the various global instances of the systems * Work with the other members of the technical project team to help advance their understanding of the Merchandising applications and the VF implementations * Assist in the development of the Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting system configuration to Product Movement * Evaluate the requests for system enhancements from Merchandising stakeholders and ensure solutions are technically sound and provide the requested functionality while minimizing the customization of the base code * Participate in all Merchandising projects during the Design, Build, Test, and Go-Live phases to reduce the dependency on external providers for these functions * Act as the VF technical subject matter expert in the areas of Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting while working with 3rd party Product and Implementation vendors to ensure solutioning and service delivery meet the expectation and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirement * Act as a technical subject matter expert in the application of statistical forecasting models in the area of merchandising demand forecasting leveraging both internal and external data to improve product's availability at the right place at the right time to meet customer demand Skills for Success: * 7+ years IT experience, with direct experience implementing and supporting merchandising systems using Blue Yonder or JDA Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting systems - preferably using Blue Yonder Luminate Platform Educational/ Position Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred in engineering, computer science, management information systems or 7 years related work experience in the retail industry * Direct experience with Merchandising systems (Allocation, Replenishment, and Forecasting) using Blue Yonder, or JDA platforms * Experience or knowledge of the application of machine learning in the area of Demand Forecasting is highly desirable * This position can be based out of Denver, Colorado or Costa Mesa, California but will have at least 25% travel required to VF global locations for success * Ability to travel to brand locations is desired * Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints * Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical * Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: * Travel by air and overnight, as required 25% amount of time * Lifting and/or bending, lifting 10 lbs of weight Salary Range: $95,040.00 USD - $142,560.00 USD annually Annual Incentive Eligibility: This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.
