Under the direction of the Director of Temporary Employment Services, the TES Recruiter's primary focus is to coordinate talent acquisition and placement activities for staff positions.
The TES Recruiter position will have an emphasis in recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and placing candidates for service and trade job titles within the organization. This position will engage in candidate sourcing using an internal applicant tracking system and internet tools such as LinkedIn to seek out potential candidates. The TES Recruiter will also provide consultation and advise client departments and TES employees to specific University & union contract policies and procedures. This position is responsible for assisting in the generation of revenue of approximately $18,000,000.00 annually. Responsibilities may also include implementing marketing strategies including group and individual presentations, site visits, and outreach events.
Anticipated Duration: initially 6 - 12 months, with the possibility of extension, depending on workload.
Compensation: $28 - $34 /hour DOE. Benefits include paid holidays and vacation/sick leave. Full-medical insurance also available.
• Minimum of one to three (1 - 3) years of sourcing/recruiting/talent acquisition experience gained from working within a staffing agency or professional services environment.
• Thorough knowledge of the recruitment, screening, interviewing and referral processes. Knowledge of interviewing methodology and techniques and employment screening techniques i.e., references background checks, etc.
• Demonstrated experience providing placements for a temporary employment/staffing agency. Skill in maintaining quality and quantity of recruitment and placement activity during periods of low unemployment and applicant shortages.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills along with ability to interact and develop networks in a professional manner externally and across the University.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills, influencing and decision facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of employment law. Thorough knowledge of applicable Federal and State employment laws and the legal issues and requirements related to EEO, AA, and ADA.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as those needed for conducting needs assessment, providing input on candidate selection and problem solving.
• Thorough knowledge of job market conditions to develop valid and reliable job-related recruitment and selection methods.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and communicate to department managers and applicants appropriate job requirements for specific positions and for general job categories.
• Proven ability to adapt to changing system-wide recruitment needs, adjust pace of work and tolerate ambiguity as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results/goal orientation.
