Responsibilities Join our SWHS Team of Professionals! SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center. Inland Valley Medical Center A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County's only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery. Rancho Springs Medical Center A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region's largest birthing center along with the area's only NICU in combination with Rady Children's Hospital and the region's first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program. As a staff member providing support expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care and customer service by sharing your talent in your chosen field. Authorized by Corporate Human Resources Qualifications ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Ø Hands on experience in hospital or related equipment. Ø Numerical ability is needed to make calculations for installation and repair of equipment. Ø Ability to use computers, energy management and other systems. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Ø At least 3 years working experience in hospital engineering department. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Ø High school diploma, trade or vocational experience. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Ø Current California driver's license. Ø Require at least one of the following: At hire only Licensed in: HVAC, or refrigerant recovery; or steam boiler; or medical gases or California MECH certification by CSHE (California Society for Healthcare Engineering) or Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager by AHA (American Hospital Association) or any recognized statewide or nationwide certification for a Healthcare Engineer. WORK ENVIRONMENT Ø Works inside and outside in cold, hot, wet, etc. Subject to high temperatures, noise and vibration of operating equipment, falls and burns from heated equipment and overhead pipes.
