Job Description Preparing the ecosystem with strategic partners is critical for our technology to be successful. As such, the Business Development team is tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with upstream and downstream partners. We work cross-functionally to build forward-looking partnerships that align with TuSimple's strategic business objectives. As a member of this team, you will have a critical role in executing our plan to deliver an autonomous truck to the global market by 2024. You will work with our OEM partners to develop the go-to-market strategy and execute on it while gaining the buy-in of external and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities * Collaborate with our OEM partners to develop a joint go-to-market strategy for our autonomous truck. Said strategy will include truck pricing, cost model, distribution strategies, etc. * Key business liaison between TuSimple & TuSimple's OEM partners * Lead agreement negotiations with partners, including cross-functional project management and internal preparation * Collaborate cross-functionally with TuSimple's engineering teams, as well as TuSimple's product, legal, finance, and business teams to negotiate new deals and execute upon existing contracts * Contribute to partnership and business development strategy based on research, expertise and understanding of TuSimple's strategy and goals Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in business and partnership related roles * Automotive experience with leading OEM where you've brought new products to market is highly desirable * Deep knowledge of the inner workings of an OEM where you understand the business processes and practices along with an understanding of product strategy and positioning * Experienced in developing new product strategy and are able to manage multiple products from start to finish * Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and negotiating agreement terms from initial discussions and relationship management through agreement closing and partner management. * Proven ability to handle ambiguity, work collaboratively with internal and partner contacts, and to influence cross-functional teams * Strong analytical and reasoning skills with technical, contractual and financial issues; impeccable business judgment * Develop compelling partnership terms that benefits all members of the AFN ecosystem * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate directly with senior executives and in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment * Bachelor degree Preferred Qualifications * MBA or graduate degree in a management, technical, or engineering field * Experience negotiating unique and creative partnership agreements, with significant technical, legal and commercial complexity Perks * Work with world class AI Engineers * Shape the landscape of autonomous driving * Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner * Full Kitchen with unlimited snacks and fruits * Weekly team happy hour * Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance plan * Company 401(K) program * Company paid life insurance TuSimple is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
