As an integral part of the Business Transformation Organization 'BTO' & Global Operations Finance team, this Sr. Finance Analyst will partner with Operations BTO leaders on transformative initiatives. The position will help develop strategic productivity plans, build and analyze financial models, and partner on executive presentations.The Sr. Financial Analyst will partner with the BTO team to deliver company cost savings through consolidation of sites, product line transfers, driving distribution and warehouse efficiencies and the integration of new acquisitions into Thermo Fisher Scientific. The role will also support strategic investments and growth initiatives. The role will conduct business opportunity and scenario analysis, due diligence, planning, management of approval processes, and project implementation.The candidate must be able to project manage multiple initiatives, translate quantitative and qualitative concepts into financial models and metrics, and have ability to analyze all parts of the P&L. Will report to the Sr. Financial Manager of the BTO. It will be essential to quickly gain an understanding of all components and work streams of the BTO. This role must be based in Carlsbad, CA.Responsibilities:* Project management, financial analysis, financial modeling, and synergy savings forecasting.* Financial support for large scale growth initiatives including capacity expansion projects across LSG.* Strong business partnership, project management, and financial modeling skills - partnering heavily with BTO, Global Operations, Finance & Accounting, and other cross-functional teams.* Interface effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment with all levels of the organization.* Demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal customers.* Possess initiative, enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude and ability to perform as a team player.* Possess problem solving skills and be results oriented.* Ad-hoc tasks & analysis will be a routine part of this position.Requirements:* BS or BA in Finance or related field required.* 5+ years of business partnership in a finance role.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Strong analytical/problem-solving and financial modeling skills* Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing a variety of complex and non-routine tasks.* Advanced Excel skills and ability to pull and analyze data is a must.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
