The Department of Family Medicine at Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a full-time faculty Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator) primary care focused Advanced Practice Provider to serve as a member of the Street Medicine team. This is an exciting opportunity to pioneer the field of street medicine in Los Angeles, CA, home to the largest unsheltered homeless population in the United States.

Street Medicine Program Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
The Keck School of Medicine of USC’s Street Medicine program is an emerging collaboration of interdisciplinary health professionals that aims to improve care for the homeless while advocating for health care justice in Los Angeles County through medical and social service outreach and research. Our program offers services that address the circumstances that undermine the mental, physical and emotional well-being of our unsheltered and hardest to reach populations.
Street Medicine APPs provide direct medical care to patients experiencing homelessness in their own environment, such as under bridges, in encampments and on the streets. As a part of a multidisciplinary team, the APP will perform diagnostic, therapeutic, preventative and health maintenance services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician. The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills and competencies to demonstrate flexibility and creativity in this highly self-directed role.
Education & Experience
Current Licensure in the State of California as an Advanced Practice Provider (PA, NP, etc.). Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 year’s clinical experience is required; experience working with homeless populations strongly preferred.
