The Department of Transportation is committed to ensuring that El Dorado County roadways are safe for public use. The division prioritizes the preservation of infrastructure by preserving and maintaining the public's multi-billion dollar investment in our roads, bridges, and other facilities associated with the County Road System.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with operating a variety of heavy equipment.
Duties will include but are not limited to performing snow removal, ice control, and storm patrol work.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be willing to work out-of-doors in all weather conditions.

We currently have the following vacancies:
Eight (8) Extra-Help Snow Removal Workers for the Maintenance and Operations Division in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe. This position will assist the permanent staff on both West Shore and Tahoma for snow removal operations in the winter.
This group is responsible for all of the road maintenance and snow removal operations in the Tahoe Basin which is known for its high quantity of snow in the winter months that requires 24-hour snow removal.
This recruitment will establish a list for the purpose of filling current and future extra help vacancies for at least three (3) months.
