SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Undergraduate Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of the Applied Software Technologies Department. The Applied Software Technologies Department provides broad-spectrum software and system engineering support to National Security Space and Civil & Commercial missions. KEY FUNCTIONSProviding varied software and general computer support to department engineering staff with an emphasis on programming skills. Assisting in technical problem solutions, software and computer support. Assisting engineering staff in developing and updating software applications. Working with various user interfaces, programming languages and/or web-based applications. Learning new skills and mentoring othersParticipates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.Training and mentorship will be provided.

Must have good interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
