Under guidance of the Director, directly supervise several clinical and administrative areas of the department. Responsible for the ongoing review of radiology processes, patient throughput, staffing and operational issues in areas as assigned. Must be sensitive to fiscal issues and operate areas with resources that have been allocated. Must be proficient in employee relations, quality assurance and departmental computer systems. Complete special projects and serve on various hospital committees as assigned. Manage several clinical and non-clinical divisions within Radiology. Oversee day-to-day operations and occasionally fill in clinically as needed by skill set. In addition, will be required to perform diagnostic imaging and other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Imaging Service.
Five years supervisory experience in a busy Radiology Department hospital setting. Clinical skills in at least one imaging modality. Graduate from an approved Medical Imaging/Radiology Program. Excellent verbal communication skills. Use of Medical Technologies including PACS and RIS. Knowledge in Quality Assurance as it pertains to Radiology. Skillful and proficient in the management of several employees. Analyze data and determine opportunities for growth and development. Execute on service line strategies.
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Graduate from an approved program in Medical Imaging / Radiology Technology required.
* Degree in Business preferred
* Five years supervisory/lead experience in a Radiology department with progressive responsibilities preferred
* Experience in growth and development of Imaging Center and women's services preferred
* California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required
* California Radiologic Fluoroscopy (FLU) license required
* American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
* ARRT preferred
