Throughout the 10-12 week program, interns will be provided with: * Onboarding & Orientation * Professional Development Workshops * Networking Opportunities * Operations Experience * Executive Exposure * Volunteer Opportunities The Printed Electronics group at Corporate Technology Center of TE Connectivity, located in Fremont, California is seeking applications for a summer intern. TE Connectivity is the home of well-known brands of electric and electronic components for various applications including automotive, aerospace, medical devices, sensors, etc. The Printed Electronics group develops new functional materials and additive manufacturing processes for use throughout TE's many business sectors. The applicant will perform hands-on work in a lab environment, assisting in formulation of new inks, development of scalable printing processes, and fabrication of prototype devices. What your background should look like: Responsibilties * Support ongoing R&D projects in development of novel materials * Assist in the formulations and characterization of functional materials * Assist in the investigation of surface and interfaces of materials such as wetting, adhesion, etc. * Assist in the development of scalable printing processes * Document experimental data, generate technical reports, and present results at group meetings Qualifications * Pursuing a BS/MS/Ph.D., preferably in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study * Highly motivated individual able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision * Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment; fundamental understanding of materials processing, materials characterization, surface and interface properties of materials * Experience/knowledge in printing technologies is a plus * Demonstrated ability to define a problem, develop multiple approaches to obtain a successful solution, * Ability to deliver given tasks on time and work efficiently within a team environment * Good writing and oral communication skills Competencies Values: Integrity, Accountability,Teamwork, Innovation Location: FREMONT, CA, US, 94555 City: FREMONT State: CA Country/Region: US Travel: None Requisition ID: 62814 Alternative Locations: Function: Administrative Support
