The Quantitative Risk Analyst will aid SVB quarterly (CECL) reserve process execution. This process involves working closely with Risk, Finance, IT and Regulatory divisions. In addition, the person will apply quantitative and data science skills to enhance CECL models and support other corporate and business unit initiatives. Quarterly CECL reserve process execution, CECL committee package preparation: - Execute the CECL model on CECL Platform - Run ad hoc analyses for qualitative adjustment - Prepare material for CECL committee presentation - Prepare modeling related SOX control material CECL model enhancement - Perform statistical and data analyses to monitor and improve CECL models (PD, LGD and EAD) performances - Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT) for new CECL platform implementation - Assist model methodology documentation update - Maintain model development source code - Collaborate with other analytics teams to build quantitative tools to improve business decision making, risk management and new product development
* Experience with IFRS9/CECL related models such as PD, LGD and EAD
* Key Accounting concept
* Quantitative modeling technique
* Data base and programming knowledge
* Proficiency with statistical and data analysis and programming tools such as R, SAS, Stata, SQL and Matlab.
* Thorough understanding of econometric and financial modeling techniques
* Excellent communication, attention to detail
* Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, finance and economics.
