Clinical Infection Control RN

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science degree in health-related field required. Completion of course of study in
Infection Control provided by the Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC),
and Certification required within one year of employment.
Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN, required.
Clinical/Basic Life Support Certification-HCP-issues by AHA, required.
At least two years experience in infection control in an acute care facility and in training in adult learning situations, documented classes taken in adult learning.
Knowledge of infection control principles and specific hospital infection control/pathogen practices. Good understanding of infectious diseases and antibiotic uses. Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations; Title 22, JCAHO Standards, and CDC Guidelines. Knowledge of systems development and conceptual skills.
* Special Skills/Equipment:
Computer literate in Microsoft Office. Basic skills in statistical analysis and research methodologies. Possess positive verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of organization, including physicians. Possess capabilities of problem solving through analysis of the tracking/trending/monitoring process with accuracy and attention
