You will obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. You will also have responsibility for leading cross functional efforts to develop and implement Strategic Commodity Plans that include cost reductions initiatives, new product development, supply base and optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and may include responsibility for cross-divisional, group wide, and/or global strategies and initiatives. You will be a resident expert in strategic sourcing and procurement practices and serves as a mentor to others.Additional responsibilities:* Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives* Formulate and implement processes to build a best in class strategic sourcing organization* Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required* Advise others on selection/cost analysis* Negotiate, establish, monitor and enforce supplier contracts and agreements* Drive negotiation with large scale, high impact suppliers* Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses* Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.* Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers* Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes* Ensure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets* Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews* Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities* Manage and develop continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, and service, as well as costWhat you need-* Bachelor's degree required* 10+ years of relevant experience required* International sourcing and supplier management experience -highly preferred* Experience operating in a highly regulated industry -highly preferred* Working knowledge of ISO13485 standards and requirements -preferred* Proficient on basic computer programs including Microsoft Suite applications, Oracle, SAP, Agile -preferred* Professional certifications through APICS, ISM, and/or CSCMP -preferredWork From Home: OccasionalTravel Percentage: 30%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
