Expand the knowledge-base of older adults and their caregivers in the community regarding mental health matters and provide informational, educational and supportive services to enhance mental health and decrease stigma.You Will* Provide short-term mental health treatment to identified clients including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, interventions (individual, group, couples and/or family), collateral contacts, and discharge/aftercare planning.* Educate older adults and their caregivers regarding mental health issues by deliver informational materials and facilitating educational and supportive groups to this population in community settings.* Provide preventative services to clients and caregivers as needed.* Develop and maintain professional relationships in the community in order to better serve clients and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues.* Increase the ability of older adults to live safely in the community by working collaboratively with family, caregivers, physicians, community resource providers and others involved in the life and well-being of the client. Investigate potential community resources and be well versed in what the community contributes to this goal.* Represent SCAN and IAH in a professional manner by engaging with clients and others, communicating effectively both individually and in a group setting and demonstrating quality customer service.* Maintain confidential information by following all HIPAA regulations, policy and procedures, compliance and regulatory directives and by completing required documentation in a timely, professional and accurate manner.* Travel 50% or more of the time in the assigned area- Los Angeles County and Orange CountyYour qualifications* Master's Degree in Social Work or related field of study.* Licensed or license eligible MSW/MFT* BILINGUAL- Must be bilingual in Spanish/English (Test will be administered to assess proficiency.)* 2+ years of mental health and/or clinical environment experience.* Demonstrated experience in mental health assessments, treatment planning, care management, and clinical interventions.* Familiar with evidence-based intervention models.* Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, critical thinking and problem resolution skills.* Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.What's in it for you?* A competitive compensation and benefits program* An annual employee bonus program* Robust Wellness Program* Generous paid-time-off (PTO)* Ten paid holidays per year* Excellent 403(b) Retirement Saving Plan, with company match* Business casual attire* Robust employee recognition program* Tuition reimbursement* A Work-life balance and much more!We're always looking for talented people to join our team!
