Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.CHILD CARE ASSISTANTBASIC FUNCTION:Under supervision, serve as an assistant to the day care lead person in the organization and supervision of activities for children in the Day Care Program.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:1. Supervise children in a variety of play activities, such as indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, stories and songs.2. Assist students with their homework as needed (not tutoring).3. Administer minor first aid to students; notify parents of child’s illness or injury.4. Help prepare daily snack.5. Operate audio-visual equipment, such as record player, video cassette recorder, cassette recorder, etc.6. Perform minor clerical duties in support of Day Care Program.7. Confer with the principal, project manager, day care lead person, and parents about the program, and the needs of students individually and collectively.8. Assist in the collection of day-care fees.9.
