About the Position The Adult Mental Health Services Division is hiring for Permanent and Temporary LPT/LVN in the Outpatient Adult Mental Health Clinics and the inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF). The ideal candidate will be compassionate, client centered and enthusiastic about joining our multi-disciplinary treatment teams, in both the outpatient clinic setting and inpatient services at the County Psychiatric Health Facility. The ideal candidate will have positive professional work experience working with vulnerable populations. Additionally, an LPT/LVN working in Adult Mental Health Services Division needs to be able to prioritize work effectively and be able to document efficiently in an electronic health record. Under direction, classes in this career series provide a variety of professional behavioral health or nursing care functions to patients in an outpatient, inpatient, forensic, or community setting; and do other related work as required. The Ideal Candidate LPT/LVN II: Either A: Active licensure as a Psychiatric Technician with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians ANDtwo years of post-licensure experience as a Psychiatric technician; Or B:Active licensure as a Vocational Nurse with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians AND2 years of post-licensure experience in the Behavioral Health field. LPT/LVN III: Either A:Active licensure as a Psychiatric Technician with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians ANDfour years of post-licensure experience as a Psychiatric technician; Or B:Active licensure as a Vocational Nurse with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians ANDfour years of post-licensure experience in the Behavioral Health field.
