To help accelerate growth, we are looking for a highly-motivated and results-driven Accounting Manager. You'll have the opportunity to work with leaders, executives, and colleagues to build out systems and processes that drive high impact outcomes for a rapidly scaling company. The ideal person will be able to both implement systems and processes as well as work hands-on in the details as the first accounting hire. Our mission is to make it easier for developers to create transformative applications by allowing them to easily and seamlessly integrate APIs in their software application development. Located in San Francisco, RapidAPI was founded by Iddo Gino in 2015 and has since raised $122.5M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Microsoft, and Grove Ventures. We have offices in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, with a satellite presence in New York, Tokyo, and Estonia. Responsibilities: * Oversee all financial activities of the business including bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and monthly closings. * Manage and process semi-monthly payroll of 60 plus employees and contractors via Zenefits, OysterHR, or similar. Manage state tax applications and payments associated with paying employees in multiple states. * Manage accounts receivable, including enterprise customer invoicing and adjustments, payment processing, vendor applications, and collections. Ability to interpret and track payment terms against contract requirements. * Manage accounts payable process ensuring proper budget tracking, timely vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, vendor maintenance, and annual 1099 processing. * Administer 401K Plan, including payroll deductions processing, reconciliation, and timely uploads for employee contributions. * Manage and comply with local (SF Business, Property and Healthy San Francisco), state, and federal taxes and regulations. * Work with an outside CPA on annual income tax return preparation. * Assemble monthly reporting and summaries of financials (AR/AP, Cash on Hand, etc) for CEO and budget owners for review. Manage money accounts ensuring maintenance of sufficient funds. * Ability to step outside scope as necessary to contribute to processes like onboarding, benefits administration, and PTO approvals * Experience standing up accounting systems such as Quickbooks and Bill.com . * Excellent communication and writing skills are required. Must be proficient in QuickBooks, MS Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel), Bill.com, and Google Docs. * Coordinate with international subsidiaries on accounting matters. Skills/Experience: * Highly accurate and detail oriented. * You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (CPA a plus, not required). * You have 3+ years of working with tech companies in public or private accounting. * You have a strong knowledge of US GAAP; conceptual and practical experience in researching, understanding and communicating technical accounting issues and recommendations. * You have proven experience with developing scalable, efficient and controlled processes. * You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively drives business results. * You have a strong attention to detail, communication, and a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills. * You are organized and execution focused, with an ability to work independently. * You have experience using NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, Zenefits, OysterHR, Quickbooks or similar accounting software.
