THE COMPANY Quinn Company is a family owned, Caterpillar dealership founded in 1919. The company sells, services, and rents a full line of new and used construction, agricultural, and material handling equipment, diesel and natural gas engines. HISTORY Since 1919, Quinn Company has served the equipment needs of businesses in Central California, including contractors, farmers, miners and others driven by a vision of service, growth and prosperity. In 1925, when Caterpillar Tractor Co. was formed, Joseph A. Quinn became their first dealer in Central California. From 1954 to 1978, Bradley Quinn, the founder's son, expanded the company's territory through two acquisitions of neighboring dealerships. In 1979, Blake Quinn, the founder's grandson, became the company's third Principal. Under Blake Quinn's leadership the company has experienced significant growth through three large acquisitions and business expansion. Today, the fourth generation Quinn leaders are transitioning to lead the company in to the future. THE OPPORTUNITY The General Manager of Agriculture Business provides leadership and strategic direction for the company agriculture business. The GM Ag reports to the Executive Vice President. Key responsibilities are: * Establish and execute strategic direction for the company ag business * Manage company ag business profit/loss statement to maximize revenue and profit * Build strong relationships with key growers in company service territory * Attract, develop, and lead company Ag Business Team * Grow company whole goods marketshare * Manage company ag inventory/assets * Ensure a safety/healthy work environment for Ag Business Team * Manage high level business partner relationships - AGCO, Weldcraft, Wilcox, Garford As a Senior Leader, the GM Ag will play a key role setting the leader example for the company. Strategic planning and leader development are important elements in this opportunity. S/he will be have strong results orientation, a high energy level, and a passion for excellence and service. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Senior level management experience and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the agriculture industry.
