Project Coordinator urgently needed for a contract opportunity with our client in Newport Beach, CA. Position is working remotely through next year. JOB DESCRIPTION Project Coordinator needed to work in our client's PMO which supports the enterprise goals and initiatives of all Corporate areas throughout the company and its subsidiaries. The Project Coordinator will administer and organize related projects, from simple activities to more complex plans specifically for the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) Program. The Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with the Project Sponsor, Program Manager and Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. The Project Coordinator will perform various coordinating tasks, that include scheduling, risk management, administrative duties, maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. Schedule requested meetings, support agenda creation and distribute agendas, and document and publish minutes Support project financials, including updating spent-to-date, collecting new estimates and generating re-forecasts Maintain project plans by capturing task updates such as progress and completion dates, updating resources, updating work segment plans, or performing other directed updates Maintain project calendars and update weekly status reports Maintain project repository and follow-up on overdue deliverables and approvals Maintain and update tracking tools and logs, including change control, issues logs, decisionaction logs, and risk management Project Coordinators work alongside Project Managers to arrange the logistics of a project such as work with team members to create a project timeline, set goals and determine what elements are needed to complete the project. Perform other project or program management support as needed. QUALIFICATIONS College Degree in Business Administration or related field. Excellent communication skills, strong grammatical skills, very strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. 2+ years' experience as a Project Coordinator or similar support role on risk management, operational, and technology projects. Specifically managing project resource schedules, project calendars, risk logs and resource plans supporting key meetings (scheduling, agenda distribution, minutes) maintaining project financials updating status and progress posting and storing materials and artifacts and maintaining tracking tools and logs (Risks, Assumption, Issues, Decision). Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project Experience in administrating collaborative sitestools such as SharePoint, MS Teams, JIRA, GoTo Meeting, Skype for Business, Zoom. An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans. Familiarity with operational risk management and quality assurance control. PMP certification andor Change management certification is a plus. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with people in all ranks, teams, and disciplines across the company. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
