Were about the friendliest company youll ever come acrossand we need someone to be the face of this as soon as a guest steps into our hotel. Are you happy, outgoing and wear a perma-smile? Then this could be the job for you. In addition to generally spreading joy, youll be ensuring guests are receiving great customer service from the time they exit their cab to entering their room and everything in between. What You Bring: A lot goes into creating a perfect hotel stay and youll play a huge role in this. We are looking for you to OWN the entire guest experiencemaking sure guests receive a warm welcome, assistance with their luggage, an expedited check in process, and assistance with all their needs during their stay in San Diego. Here are a few of the other tasks that will keep you busy on a daily basis: * Completing daily front desk duties including check-ins/outs, room moves, quoting daily room rates and availability, analyzing reports, and responding to all guest requests * Assist arriving and departing guests with their luggage to and from guest rooms * Act as a point of reference for guests that require assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements * Acquiring and sharing knowledge of the hotel as well as the surrounding areas, venues and attractions * Serving delicious breakfasts and tasty Afternoon Delights while maintaining the cleanliness of these areas Where Youve Been: Were looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably three to six months of related experience. But most importantly you must be a people-person! You will need to interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive way at all times, fulfilling requests in a timely manner. If you don't work well under pressure, this wont be a great fit. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office as well as Opera PMS is preferred. When Youre Here: We do things a little differently here to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Be prepared to do a wide variety of tasks - we help our guests with everything! You wont be standing behind a desk very often - you will greet guests as they enter the hotel, assist them with their luggage, check them in and help them to their rooms. Be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including: evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
