Pentair currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Moorpark, CA location. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will support the product team and product lines for Operations. This Manufacturing Engineer will Work closely with Team Leads to troubleshoot items impeding the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost/Cash of the production lines. #LI-KS

You will: Be a member of the site Ergonomic team and champion completion of assessments and generated action items. Create and maintain JSA and SOP documentation and postings in an effort to continuously improve the safety of the workstations. Participate in warranty and cost reduction efforts. Support production by providing fixtures and tooling, conducting time studies, ensuring all safety and process supplies are available when needed, upgrading current tooling and troubleshooting quality and process issues. Support development of standard work documents. This includes all product time studies. Create and maintain JSA and SOP documentation and postings in an effort to continuously improve the safety of the workstations. Maintain and update all product routers. Design and implement tools and fixtures used in the production process, and assure professional appearance of production line. This includes the continuous review and upgrade of current fixtures. Participate in lean processes in order to improve plant layout, process flow, and labor efficiency while implementing state of the art ergonomic and safety standards. Support site transformation efforts. Participate in warranty and cost reduction efforts. Liaison between design engineering and manufacturing on new products and product changes. Involved in line efficiency, equipment changes and additions.
You should: Have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred). Have 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supporting both processes and procedures. Have 3-5 years of experience in handling multiple projects and utilizing resources to drive bottom line results Be proficient in the English language. Have Solidworks experience. Have the ability to communicate with all areas of the business in both verbal and written format. Be detail oriented.
We like, but don’t require: Machining or fabrication experience. Autocad experience. Lean knowledge.
