Overview Senior Maintenance Mechanic - HIRING IMMEDIATELY - Santa Fe Springs Senior Maintenance Mechanic available shifts: 6 AM to 2:30 PM, 10 PM to 6:30 AM Compensation: * Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases * Add EXTRA money to your paycheck by referring friends and family * Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity* Benefits: * Medical (Comprehensive PPO, two HRA Plans and an HSA plan) * Dental (basic and comprehensive coverage) * Vision (basic and premier coverage) * Prescription drug coverage * 401K with a 6% company match (Eligible to participate from day one (1) with 100 % vesting in all company provided funds immediately) * New Hire Wellness Bonus (see plan details) * Healthcare and Dependent day care flexible spending accounts * Livongo diabetes program * Corporate discounts Text to Apply PTVE @ 97211 Responsibilities Job Description: * Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work; * Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems; * Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs; * Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures; install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications; * Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance; * Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools. * Ability to perform time-sensitive work, with a focus on work quality and reliability * Address any emergency calls while on the job site, particularly relating to production sensitive items * Must be able to work independently and/or with maintenance teams of varying disciplines * Ability to effectively communicate with floor operators to understand equipment related malfunctions, failures, and general defects * Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions * Must have the ability to troubleshoot machine/equipment/system issues, and be able to effectively communicate findings to the team leader or other direct supervision * Practical knowledge and ability to use basic hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and heavy equipment * Ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and/or scissor, lifts a plus * Ability to understand and execute technical directives * Ability to understand and interpret mechanical schematics and/or manuals * Good working knowledge of mechanical devices and linkages, conveying systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics * Basic knowledge and troubleshooting skills on cooling towers, compressed air systems, and water chillers/heat exchangers * Working knowledge of rigging techniques and general machinery handling * General building maintenance knowledge * General understanding and ability to use HMI controls * Basic electrical knowledge (troubleshooting/repairs) a plus Qualifications Pactiv Evergreen Inc.
