Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities Responsible for global Distribution and Operations Systems, analyzing and developing software and system application requirements related to both new projects and enhancement requests for existing product lines by tapping into your expertise to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end-users. You both serve as the liaison between the internal customer community and the software development team throughout the entire software development life cycle as well as act as an advisor to the development team regarding configuration strategies, projects, tasks, and operations. * Leads technology projects specific to implementing and sustaining SAP/3rd party solutions for our distribution and operations. Active involvement throughout the project lifecycle is essential in this role including defining/documenting business requirements, developing system/process designs, writing functional specifications, test planning and execution, documentation and training, implementation, and resource planning * Formulate strategic roadmaps and tactical plans for the area of loaner management, sales orders, delivery processing, distribution, and general warehouse processes in support of established business goals * Provides functional expertise in Sales/Distribution, warehouse, and inventory management process areas, as well as knowledge of key integration points across modules such as Supply Chain, Procurement, and manufacturing * Document fit/gap analysis and design decisions; ensure deviations from 'out of the box' functionality and have sufficient business justification and positive value proposition * Collaborate with functional and technical leads to enable integration with other critical areas and applications including finance, master data, procurement, production planning, and sales/distribution, MES and EDW * Manage ongoing process improvement initiatives and provide ongoing engagement, recommendations, and updates to the business and IT management * Supports and maintain the existing system functionality through the implementation of system enhancements as well as identification and resolution of production issues * Identifies areas for business process improvement and establish effective and efficient system processes to support operations * Elicits primary product requirements from various sources and translate those elements into system requirements represented by storyboards, annotations, and use cases using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, established use * Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detailed requirements capable of clear engineering engagement * Designs and works with the technical delivery team for new SAP interfaces with SAP and non-SAP systems * Drives and challenges business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans * Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills / Capabilities * 3+ years experience in performing SAP configuration within the WM/SD modules, including experience with Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management and Inventory Management * Expertise in Requirements Engineering standard concepts, best practices, and procedures * Strong software product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements * Experience with end-user support and troubleshooting (e.g. reporting, training, transaction analysis) * Ability to evaluate and provide production system enhancements * Full life-cycle SAP deployment Education and Experience * Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline with 8 years of related experience * Minimum of one full-lifecycle ERP deployment * 10 years experience in the IT field * 5 years of experience directly with SAP, SD, WM Travel and/or Physical Requirements * 10-30% Travel based on Project Volume.
