Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Global Supply Chain 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Goods Movement/Logistics organization. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA. The GSC Manager 1 will lead a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy. Responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Participates in various aspects of supply chain process areas: Plan, Source, Make, Deliver as well as Operations. Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency and manages one or more Supply Chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business/Disadvantaged Programs, Supplier Quality, Warehouse & Transportation, Analytics, Compliance, Systems, etc.). Duties and Responsibilities: * Manages the efficient movement of material from receiving and/or the warehouse to production. Supports the fulfillment of material and scheduling requirements using a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Coordinates efforts between cross functional departments to ensure issues are resolved, mitigated and/or communicated in support of successful program execution. * Manage the daily operations of a 10-19 person team or work unit comprised of experienced and non-experienced employees. * Ensure team meets cost and quality objectives. * Manage effort to consolidate part delivery data sets for use in ensuring parts are received, stored, retrieved, kitted and delivered to MFG. * Supervision of kits in progress, material availability, and manages potential production problems to ensure that personnel, materials and services are provided as needed. * Support ad hoc requests associated with attrition, stock purges, SMO's, ETC… * Produces metric based performance data to be presented to leadership * Conduct status briefings and participate in meetings for internal and/or external representatives concerning parts management issues, manufacturing caused constraints, program specific issues discovered utilizing analytical and data mining skills. * Analysis of material requirements, production schedules, material delivery schedules and assessment of historical manufacturing anomalies which are critical requirements for this position. Please view our 'Selecting the Most Qualified Managers' video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideo Basic Qualifications: * Master's degree with 4 years' experience OR Bachelors Degree with 6 years' experience or High School Diploma/equivalent with 10 yrs of experience in the following areas: Supply Chain, Goods Movement, Warehousing, Kitting and/or related experience * Experience leading a process, project or a team * SAP experience * Experience with MS Office specifically MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint * Parts management experience for large developmental and/or production programs * Experience executing daily statement of work ( SOW) associated with Supply Chain Management * Previous experience developing or supporting team based process improvements * Oral and written communication skills capable of communicating a wide variety of information to subordinates, peers and senior management. * This position requires an Active DOD Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or Master's degree * Data mining / systems integration / experience with shop floor controls * SAP knowledge specifically associated with purchasing, scheduling, parts management, shop floor control and MBoM structures * Proficient with MS Office (specifically MS Excel, Outlook), MES and SAP or equivalent MRP system Salary Range: $96,900.00 - $145,300.00 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
