Job Summary As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and systems and ensures equipment is properly maintained and operating correctly. This includes diagnosing faults and defects, determining corrective actions and appropriate repairs. The Senior Maintenance Technician will also collaborate with suppliers, internal and external customers to identify root cause and resolve the issues and train and mentor junior Technicians. Roles & Responsibilities This position has responsibility for: * Performing preventative equipment maintenance procedures * Troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and software failures on production equipment * Upgrading equipment * Accurately records/analyze maintenance activities in Maintenance Database (Camstar/Faciliworks) * Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify root cause and solve the issues * Ordering, organizing and maintaining equipment spares * Read schematics to reduce troubleshooting down time * Utilizing Total Quality Management and Total Preventative Maintenance methodology and utilization of programming of Programmable Logic Controllers or Robot controllers to improve productivity and quality * Continuously making improvements to processes, tools and systems to improve productivity * Analyze data to assign resources to improvement projects * Act as a lead for projects and trains junior Technician or cross functional teams Competency Requirements In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Accepting Direction: Accepts and follows directions from others; respects authority; complies with requests; does what they are asked to do * Accepting Responsibility: Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development; openly discusses his/her actions and their consequences both good and bad * Testing and Troubleshooting: Consistently performs routine maintenance and inspections to ensure machines, processes, or tools are functioning as expected; thoroughly follows test and maintenance procedures to resolve operating malfunctions * Prioritizing and Organizing Work: Allocates time and attention based on what is the most important to achieve key goals and objectives; approaches work in an organized and systematic manner; effectively manages tasks, information, and requests * Demonstrating Initiative: Takes action on his/her own without being prompted; handles problems independently; able to resolve issues without relying on extensive help from others; does more than is expected or asked Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills) * 8+ years' of directly related experience in Back End and Tape and Reel Semiconductor equipment repair and maintenance * Extensive experience with troubleshooting and repairing Opus and/or Electroglas 4080 series probers and computer software and hardware and drivers installation * Extensive experience kitting, troubleshooting, and repairing pick and place equipment * Extensive experience with measurement tools such as DVMs, component or bare die Tape and Reel systems * Strong Total Quality Management and/or Total Preventative Maintenance background * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to lead, train and mentor junior Maintenance Technicians * Ability to work independently * Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills * Collaborates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers * Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Preferred Qualifications * n/a Education Requirements * Associate's degree in Electronics or similar technical degree Work Environment This job operates on the Manufacturing Floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. The employee is required to bend and stoop for periods of time; kneeling, sitting on the floor; working on step stools and ladders; and pushing heavy equipment. This employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
