EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE! The Event Manager II is the primary client point of contact for assigned meetings and events onsite at the client's campus. Manages meetings and events through the implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics, while effectively working with clients. Responsible for coordination of all program planning, while providing unparalleled levels of customer service on all events. Works closely with clients to understand and meet program objectives/outcomes. Primary Responsibilities 80% - Serves as primary point-of-contact for event hosts. Provides consultative planning to clients and service partners responsible for event set-up and execution. Works closely with service partners to deliver comprehensive meeting services including but not limited to Catering, Facilities, Technology and AV, Executive Production, Security, Transportation and Janitorial. Outlines deliverables for assigned event. Completes overall project timeline, event workbook and communication plan. Facilitates prompt and accurate handling of all details. Coordinates and attends site inspections. Independently interface with client contact. Maintains proactive, positive, open line of communication with client to ensure understanding of expectations. Conducts regularly scheduled status meetings with client and service partners throughout planning stage. Responsible for tracking communication and reporting changes in event management system. 20% - Works closely with the Onsite Event Specialist, providing clear direction about the clients' expectations and thorough review of the event logistics, to ensure the program objectives are executed and exceeded. Schedules and leads pre-con meeting for all events. Periodically checks event spaces and setups to ensure event services are appropriately delivered. Years of Experience 2 - 4 years Qualifications * Minimum 3+ years of experience in meeting/event planning (including incentives, association, corporation) or hotel catering, convention, sales experience required. * CMP designation a plus. * Strong knowledge of program/event management and budget maintenance. Exposure to project planning/forecasting financial implications. * Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client relationships.. * Professional oral presentation and writing skills required. * Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G Suite Travel Requirements Travel Required: No Percentage of Time Required Disclaimer This job description is designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
