DESCRIPTION

Mammoth is seeking a Director of Genome Editing to lead a team that will continue to develop newly-discovered CRISPR systems in mammalian cells. Direct experience with CRISPR and its applications is essential. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable managing others, including setting goals for the team, designing experiments and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities
    • Interface with external partners and other teams
    • Set goals and priorities for team
    • Design overall experimental strategy in collaboration with team
    • Continue to build team and support team members in their career growth
    • Work with CSO to set company objectives


Requirements
    • Ph.D. in relevant field with 3+ years relevant research experience
    • 3+ years of management experience
    • Strong background in tissue culture, molecular biology and cell engineering
    • Demonstrated track record working with CRISPR in primary human cells using AAV and/or RNP delivery
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and data analysis
    • Have exceptional interpersonal skills and previous experience managing direct reports
