LinQuest is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The ideal candidate would have experience in space operations, research, simulators, or other theoretical science field work. Position will be supporting the USSF's SMC customer at L.A. Air Force Base, CA to implement quantitative analyses of newly developed operational capabilities and future concepts. Responsibilities: * Defining and analyzing satellite missions and evaluating mission capabilities/performance for various scenarios and vignettes * Develop end-to-end space system architecture analyses and simulating operational tasking and resource utilization. * Be proficient at framing conceptual challenges, developing and documenting methodologies to quantitatively analyze those challenges * Support complex space based architecture trade studies * Supporting system-level integration and validation * Initiating and leading analysis activities for space based satellite systems, including: system utility, capacity, subsystem modeling, and performance assessments * Develop analysis tools and 3D visualizations using MATLAB, STK, and custom object-oriented software * Communicate (both written and verbal) clear and crisp insights and observations based on complex analytical models and technical data interpretation to senior-level leadership and external customers. Organizing and managing the parallel execution of multiple, diverse, complex analysis tasks Required Skills: * Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data * Understanding of modeling and simulation functions and how they relate to space operations at the tactical level or of operations such as exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, such as space flag and other related war gaming events * Ability to coordinate with government managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives * Perform military utility analysis studies utilizing tools such as: STK, SEAS, Python, Matlab, STK, AFSIM Preferred Skills: * Proficiency in C++ is desirable, or recent experience with other objected oriented programming languages * High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment Required Experience: * Bachelors Degree in Math, Science or Engineering * 3+ Years of demonstrated systems engineering experience with space, ground, operations and sustainment segments of DOD or NRO programs with a proven delivery record, or a Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science or Engineering with 14+ Years of demonstrated experience * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to be considered for this position Preferred Experience: * Proficiency in C++ is desirable, or recent experience with other objected oriented programming languages * Knowledge of orbital mechanics and attitude control * Space Weapons officer (13S), with understanding of joint operations environment and/or Offensive/Defensive space tactics
