From the initial customer inquiry to final delivery, meeting the customer's requirements is our primary objective.Basic Function:Understand and apply the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with development and operation of Quality Systems. Review proposed contracts, products and processes to avoid or eliminate unnecessary quality difficulties. Plan the quality measurements and controls on materials, processes, and product that provides adequate control of quality at minimum quality related costs. Determine that manufacturing processes have sufficient capability to meet quality requirements. Analyze quality information (customer returns, internal rejections, yields) and feedback analyses and recommendations for adjustment to product design, manufacturing processes, equipment, and the quality system. Provide leadership in the application of lean/six sigma methods to diagnose and correct improper quality practices, workmanship and process problems. On behalf of the Quality Assurance Manager, carry out essential steps in establishing and maintaining the company quality system and back up QA Manager's position when required.Position Requirements:Education:BS in technical field, preferably Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.Work Experience:1. 10+ years Quality Engineering/Quality Management2. 5+ years supervisory/management experience3. Quality Assurance experience in a high technology, low-volume manufacturing for both components and assemblies highly desiredSkills/Knowledge:1. Able to balance financial and quality objectives.2. Able to solve complex problems using intuition, induction, deduction, analysis of data, and complex quality tools.3. Experience with AS9100, and knowledge of various quality systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS 16949, TL-9000, Total Quality Management, MBNQA, and others.4. Able to think critically and able to reengineer all elements of the Quality System to remove waste of time and dollars, while increasing Quality performance.5. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to comprehend (including technical concepts) and communicate at a high level with Senior Managers, customers, distributors, and principals at different purchasing and engineering levels.6. Ability to deal effectively with differences of opinion, to influence, to draw ideas from others, and to negotiate and mediate in all cultures.7. Ability to anticipate and handle multiple priorities and complex/abstract issues involving external and internal priorities.8. Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment.9. Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency.10.
