L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) is a listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited focused on Engineering and R&D (ER&D) services.

This position is a senior engineering role responsible for major portions of innovation projects and product developments. The candidate will significantly contribute to the design, development and delivery of ultrasound imaging features/technologies. The candidate will be a natural problem solver, able to contribute to all aspects of development, testing and document generation. Key focus is on ultrasound systems engineering, including ultrasound signal chain (frontend, beamforming, signal processing, image processing) design and implementation, imaging feature development, and image quality optimization.
• Based on your expertise and interests, assume full ownership of various aspects of our ultrasound imaging platform, from transducer specification, algorithm research and development, system performance verification, engineering and clinical image optimization, and customer support.
• Define and implement ultrasound signal chain for new product introduction; key domain areas include transmitting and receiving frontend, beamforming, signal processing for b-mode, color flow, spectral Doppler, and other advanced features.
• Contribute to design specifications and verifications that complies with related medical device regulations/standards (FDA, IEC, etc.), and internal quality management and design control processes.
• Drive innovation and continual improvement of imaging performance all the way from concept generation, to prototyping, and product implementation.
• Identify innovations for inclusion into technology roadmap.
• Maintain knowledge of the market and manufactures for ultrasound sensors and associated acoustic and electric materials and components. Stay abreast of commercial system offerings and technology trends.
• Contribute to team work in an Agile development environment.
• MS, or PhD, in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related fields, with at least 7 or 5 years respectively of experience focused in advanced ultrasound techniques.
• Strong familiarity with research literature associated with technical developments in diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
• Strong understanding of ultrasonic acoustics in human tissues and the relationship to ultrasound imaging system performance.
• Strong understanding of clinical applications ultrasound technology in diagnostic imaging including standard imaging modes (e.g., B-mode, Doppler, Color Doppler, M-mode etc.).
• Strong Matlab and/or Python coding skills for algorithm prototyping and development, with basic familiarity with C, C++, C# coding and software design principles.
• Experience implementing ultrasound signal/image processing algorithms in simulation environments and ultrasound systems then interpreting results and optimizing for desired performance characteristics.
• Experience with ultrasonic acoustic simulation tools (e.g., PZFlex, Field II) or experimentation environments would be a plus.
