Software Engineering Undergraduate Intern Job Description This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storagebusiness to SK Hynix. The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK Hynix. This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK Hynix. The NSG Manufacturing team is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to participate in developing, deploying and sustaining operations planning systems that drive the optimization of manufacturing capital and planning in Folsom, California. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning processes and future of NSG. You will be part of a supportive team working in a demanding and fast-paced environment that values safety, integrity, quality, creativity, results and inclusion. In this role you will be developing applications for our long-range planning system and responsible for maintenance, and continuous improvement of the system. On any given day you are likely to find yourself starting off by participating in a daily scrum meeting, followed by * Developing and maintaining software systems that incorporate optimization and visual analytics to solve complex global supply chain problems * Working with data engineers and/or data analysts to procure and test data for input to planning systems, or mining for business insights * Collaborating with operations research engineers or planning analysts to provide high quality decision support through automating business processes * Developing and maintaining software documentation and user manuals The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data. The NSG Manufacturing team is looking for a Data Scientist Intern who be part of predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analytics projects to collect, explore, and extract insights from structure and unstructured data. Ready to develop software, algorithms and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform large scale experimentation and build data driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of business problems and enable business strategy. Assists business with casual inferences and observations with finding patterns, relationships in data. Must possess strong understanding of internal business segment (stakeholders) and possess strong written and communication skills. Typically requires expertise in relational database structures, research methods, machine learning, Cloud based technologies, Big Data technologies (i.e. Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka, Impala, Kudu, Druid, Flink, NiFi), analytics packages (i.e. R, Matlab, Pandas, scikit-learn), scripting languages (i.e. Python, Perl), programing languages (i.e. Plotly Dash, PHP, C/C++, SQL). expertise. Length of the internship minimum 6 months with possibility of extension. This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Qualifications You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.
