We are passionate about our jobs with a get-it-done attitude, yet we don't take ourselves too seriously.What You'll Do:HG Insights is currently seeking a highly driven Senior Deal Desk Manager to join our global sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for actively working with sales, customer success, finance, and other cross-functional teams for deal structuring and commercial terms for complex enterprise deals. This role is a true value-add partner and considered the business liaison to the field sales organization for complex, non-standard enterprise deals. You will help us turn this function into a well-documented and scalable program that can expand as the business grows. The position offers the opportunity to join a team focused on designing and executing process improvement initiatives that align sales efforts to global strategies. This position will sit in Santa Barbara but will frequently interact with our UK sales office.What You'll Be Responsible For:* Be the trusted advisor to the International sales team, collaborating on deal terms often while taking thelead on complex, enterprise deal terms* Actively manage and interact in deal flow with prospects, sales teams, and management* Serve as an escalation point and provide approvals to help move deals forward* Cultivate internal relationships with all levels of the sales organization* Work as a liaison between multiple groups, such as sales, product, customer success, and finance to helpfacilitate the deal process* Using your experience, identify and make recommendations for process improvements; assist or driveimplementation* Own the coordination and approval of contract term redlines; coach sales into alternative options thatsatisfy both the customer and HG* Collaborate and share best practices across geographies/regions* Ad hoc responsibilities as needed to support the sales & finance teamsWhat You'll Need:* 7+ years of experience in a deal desk, contracts, legal, sales operations, or revenue role;software/SaaS/subscription experience a plus* BS Business Administration or relevant degree* Basic understanding of GAAP revenue recognition principles* Experienced working with and negotiating with all levels of employees and prospects* A thorough understanding of the sales process and the ability to navigate and progress long, complexsales cycles* Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills - verbal and written* Ability to read, interpret, and draft business and legal t&c's* Strong logic and analytical abilities* Adept at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful businessrelationships along the way* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able tomulti-task* Flexible to work extended hours during peak periods and multiple time zones* Occasional travel may be requiredDue to Covid-19, We've transitioned to a work-from-home model and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position.
