Technical Program Manager, Product Quality Failure Analysis Engineering
Employment Type: Full-Time
As the Technical Program Manager, you will represent the voice of the customer to identify, prioritize, and facilitate prevention and resolution of product issues and detractors through Early Field Failure Analysis, sustaining programs, data analytics, and strategic initiatives.
You'll provide insight to the design team for design risks by performing tear-downs of prototype devices, based on lessons learned from previous experience. You'll perform failure analysis of both development units and field returns by working with manufacturing partners and cross-functional engineering teams to identify root cause and implement corrective actions. You'll also work with the product safety team to identify and resolve any product safety claims.
You will evaluate electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine root cause of failure, and set up processes to determine why failures are happening and recommend corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems. You'll need to recognize customer-induced damage and be comfortable analyzing all potential failure modes, including issues related to packaging/logistics, software/firmware, and mechanical or electrical issues. You will develop procedures and automation to support high volume field failure analysis.
You will also manage day-to-day operations within the failure analysis lab to ensure that the processes, equipment, and issue tracking systems serve the overall business needs of the organization. You will be responsible for procurement, setup, and installation of test fixtures to facilitate testing and failure analysis.
