Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
Search Product Area (PA) Finance is part of Google's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and provides analytical and business planning support to the Search (PA) and its commercial functions. Our work covers everything from analyzing strategies, initiatives and success of high-profile business areas and early stage development products, to understanding the financial implications of new product launches.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide financial and analytical support for Google Search, with emphasis on leveraging various data analytic techniques to uncover insights and recommendations to inform strategic decisions. You'll partner across Product, Engineering, Partnership, and Marketing, and will play an instrumental role advising senior leadership on the implications of their strategies, investments and launches, and help them identify the most impactful initiatives to better serve our users.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
* 6 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting or similar.
* Experience with SQL.
