Minimum qualifications: * 5 years of experience in program management or a related field (e.g., project management, product management, etc.) * 2 years of experience in a legal domain Preferred qualifications: * 2 years of relevant work experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (e.g., experience with complex electronic discovery, technology and/or the internet, litigation, and regulatory investigations) * Experience in legal technology (e.g., legal department at an operating company, a legal technology company, a law firm, onboarding of a new technology, or managing existing technology) * Experience managing technical projects (e.g., writing technical requirements documentation, driving user interface or user experience design decisions, managing feature requests, etc.) * Experience with SQL About the job As a Legal Technology Program Manager, you will serve in a key role in helping the technology roadmap for Google's Global Legal Organization. You will work closely with members of the Legal Department to understand technology needs across internally developed and third-party software systems, and then work with cross-functional teams in engineering and operations to drive execution to meet needs. You will optimize business processes, define business requirements, manage timelines and deliverables, drive change management post launch, and oversee the ongoing success of launched technology and tools via ongoing client success engagement. You will be comfortable working with senior executives and other internal stakeholders to articulate and support the solutions you have proposed Responsibilities * Serve in a key role in understanding existing processes, working closely with Legal team members and leadership to drive process improvement, understand tooling and technology needs, collaborate with product managers and engineers to drive technology solutions, and own the ongoing success of the tools, features, and process improvements post launch. * Establish deep substantive understanding of processes and programs for groups within the legal department, including relevant legal, policy and regulatory concerns that are being addressed. * Establish a deep understanding of the use of technology to address legal requirements and processes, and work closely with stakeholders in legal to develop technology road maps. * Work closely with product managers and engineers to establish technical execution plans, and own communication of progress and plans back to legal stakeholders.
