Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. * 9 years of experience coding with a general purpose programming language (i.e. Java, C/C++, Python). * 5 years of experience in data architecture. * Customer-facing experience translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences. Preferred qualifications: * Experience with ontology or semantic systems (RDF(S)/OWL, SPARQL, the Semantic Web). * Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, etc. * Experience in data management and data governance. * Ability to lead strategic initiatives. About the job gTech's Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google's Ads products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gPTO partners closely with gTech's Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users. The gTech Data Strategy and Architecture team is responsible for building out data management, governance, and architecture practices to alleviate the data pain points felt across the Ads Support ecosystem. Responsibilities * Work closely with lead architects to shape team priorities and gTech's Data Strategy and Architecture transformation roadmap. * Maintain the gTech Business Glossary and mappings to data entities and attributes. * Model the business architecture across gTech, including current architectural artifacts, a Business Capability Map and Business Process Models. * Provide guidance to and work closely with the Global Taxonomy Lead to provide input on data governance, and the management of data quality, reference and master data, and metadata. * Provide recommendations and input to the data analyst on data governance metrics and report improvements and opportunities.
