Golden is looking for the company's first salesperson to spearhead and grow revenue to support our mission to organize and map the world's knowledge. The company is venture-backed by top tier investors including a16z, Founders Fund, Giga Fund, and other notable angels and is led by Jude Gomila, a founder of Heyzap (YC '09, acquired for $45m in 2016), and investor in 200+ startups.We are looking for a salesperson to be a pioneer and work closely with the executive team in finding, developing and closing high-value revenue opportunities with the largest companies and organizations in the world. We have developed an extremely useful research engine and we are looking to expand beyond the initial clients we have onboarded. You will need to be able to develop a strong pipeline, open and close prospects, and also provide feedback to engineering and company leadership on product features and customer needs. This is a unique position in the company, with opportunities to be critically involved with positioning, decks, collateral, strategy, approach, opening, closing and the feedback loop involved in pioneering larger sales deals.We are building a unique product for data research, enrichment, and discovery with capabilities and features that have not been built before.As an early team member, you would be working in a startup environment with high autonomy, responsibility and focus: being instrumental in both shaping the sales process and providing insights back into the product development process.The person in this role will need to:* Research and identify ideal prospects* Proactively contact prospects and book calls, meetings, demos* Turn initial contacts into high-value, high-margin sales and repeatable MRR* Architect a go-to-market sales strategy to close the largest organizations of the world* Define, build, and refine high performance sales processes* Provide feedback to engineering on product features and optimizations* Provide feedback to company leadership on product and competitive positioning with recommendations on continuous improvement* Shape pricing policy and contract terms* Discovery and architect a sweet spot between contract size, sales conversion rate, and sales effort to maximize overall revenue growth* Create market winning collateral and positioning* Understand the dynamics (including opportunities and constraints) of selling data products, and ideally have sold data products in a startup environment previously* Create large 6-7 figure sales dealsBonus points:* Have been the first salesperson in a previous startup* Have grown revenue by at least 10x in a previous roleAdvantages of working for us:* A meaningful and important mission* High autonomy and ownership* Work with a hard working, creative team* Work closely with an experienced founder and founding team* Backed by the best investors on the planet* Lunch provided daily* Medical, vision, dental, 401k, commuter benefits and more* Equity in fast growing startup
