We have an exciting opportunity in San Diego as a skilled Plumber specialist. This position is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing the facility mechanical equipment, including commercial and residential plumbing, for all types of commercial and residential facilities and any other piece of equipment supporting building mechanical systems in accordance with applicable building codes, plumbing and mechanical codes, manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals, and safety regulations. Functions in a leadership role providing direction to less experienced staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs plumbing and mechanical duties such as installing fixtures including water heaters, faucets, sinks, toilets, and urinals, replaces failed parts. Installation and repair of iron, copper, PVC, and AC pipe. * Installation, maintenance, and repair of stoves, heaters, control valves, irrigation system, pump sprinkler, and sump pumps. * Performs periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunction. * Conducts maintenance program to prevent failure. * Sets and adjusts controls and regulators. * Installs and repairs compressed air, natural gas, water, and sewer lines. * Sets fixtures and installs pumps, valves, controls, pump drains and overhauls equipment. * Tests plumbing, steam, air and water heating systems. * Unplugs drains and sewers. * Replaces and cleans strainers filters and bottles in the DI and RO water systems. * Troubleshoots all types of commercial and residential plumbing systems. * Performs periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions. * Conducts maintenance program to prevent failure of plumbing systems. * Lubricates and properly aligns motors and pumps. * Replaces belts, pulleys, shafts, bearings, rotors, and impellers for motors and pumps. * Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. * Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. * May perform building maintenance tasks as required. * Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs plumbing, and mechanical systems. * Performs pump overhauls, shaft alignments and mechanical seal replacements. * Calibrates, adjusts, and repairs electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls and devices. * Prepares and submits prints, sketches, layouts, and material lists as required facilitating repairs and/or modifications to mechanical systems. * Assists supervisor, engineers and others in the preparation and review of plans and specifications. * Provides craft guidance and skills training to less experienced staff. * Servicing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing the facility mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable building, plumbing and mechanical codes, manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals, and safety regulations. * Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. * Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. * Assist facilities maintenance in all various areas including plumbing, and general maintenance. * Performs building general maintenance tasks as required. * Performs other duties as assigned or required.
