* To effectively enforce all company policies and procedures in a manner that complies with the highest EH&S and quality standards. To successfully supervise and manage the maintenance department, from all its aspects. * Essential Functions: * Comply with and enforce all safety policies, in particular all life and safety critical policies. Supervisor will be required to review all life and safety critical procedures done in the facility and ensure they are done correctly. * Take ownership of the maintenance department. Particulars include but are not limited to: * The Work Order Back Log * The Plant PM System * Maintenance work prioritization and scheduling * The Plant Predictive Maintenance System * The Vendor Contact List * The Spare Parts List * Job Planning * Drive communication across all channels of the facility. In particular, any EH&S, quality, or maintenance issue should be recognized and reported to upper management in a timely manner * Executes other required projects and controls, that are in accordance with the guidelines and schedules established by the plant manager * Makes recommendations to the Plant Manager on ways to improve the safety or the production processes. * Does all the plant purchasing with regards to maintenance equipment. * Completes a monthly maintenance summary report. Goes over the specifics of the report with the management team. * Take the lead in achieving direct goals as defined by upper management. * Provides supplemental support and assistance to all areas of the work force as required * Performs required housekeeping tasks. * Secondary Functions: * Review PLC trends on a daily basis. Use data analysis to recommend improvements to the shift to drive higher production performance * Root Cause Analysis: Takes the lead in providing detailed investigation and corrective actions for facility issues related to EH&S, quality, or maintenance. This is coupled with continuous improvement. * Prepares for and takes the lead in the weekly facility meeting in addition to the end of shift meetings * Prerequisites: * Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English in order to effectively carry out the job tasks * Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience may be replaced with some type of technical degree (ie. Engineering, electrical, etc.) Supervisory experience is a plus * A high school diploma or equivalent * Computer literacy. Must be able to type, and interact with Microsoft office applications. Exposure to SAP is a benefit. * Must possess a strong work ethic and safety attitude * Must be able to multitask and be responsible for many aspects of the facility * Electrical and/or fabrication background a plus * Hours of Work: * Standard 8 hour shift, 40 hours a week, or as directed by the Plant Manager.
