Job Summary Job Description The Opportunity Join our software team and help build leading data science tools for advanced analytics. As the data scientist for our product, you will solve interesting analytic problems in real-world applications, using machine learning and explainable artificial intelligence (xAI), and share those solutions with our customers around the globe. Working side-by-side with some of the brightest analytical and engineering minds in our industry, who share your passion for innovation and excellence, you will tremendously grow your own skills and influence. - Sr Director, Technical Architecture What You'll Contribute * Plan, develop and implement algorithms for use by data scientists to address all portions of the predictive modeling lifecycle. * Work side-by-side with data scientists, software developers, QA engineers and UX designers to create robust, efficient and flexible pipelines to transform data, train machine learning models, and test and monitor operationalized models. * Research and select appropriate statistical methods and computational algorithms to create high-end analytic models for market-relevant problems. * Work with large amounts of real-world data and ensure data quality throughout the stages of data collection, analysis and transformation. * Find, augment and design data sets to exercise, quality test, stress test and demonstrate novel data science algorithms. * Engage with internal users, clients and pre-sales engineers to design and create useful solutions, proofs of value, demonstrations and educational materials. What We're Seeking * MS or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics, operations research or natural science fields with four or more years of hands-on related experience in predictive modeling and data science. * Experience analyzing large data sets and applying data-cleaning techniques alongside statistical analyses, to understand the structures and stories within data sets. * Proven ability to manage small to medium scale projects and handle client interactions, requiring strong communication skills. * Substantial experience with data science languages including two of the following: Python, R, Scala, SAS or Matlab. * Experience working SQL. * Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or similar. * Proven and demonstrable experience with at least three of the following: logistic regression, decision trees, non-linear regression, neural networks, random forests, gradient boosted trees, support vector machines, linear/non-linear optimization.
