Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. has a full-time opening for a Project /Associate / Senior Level Project Manager / Environmental Scientist / Geologist/ Hydrogeologist /Engineer in its Oakland, California office.
This position requires 5 - 12 years of experience in environmental consulting (depending on academic degree) in California, including a minimum of 3 years in the field as an Environmental Scientist/ Geologist/ Hydrogeologist/ Engineer. This position also requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. A Master of Science degree, and California State professional licensing is preferred. A thorough understanding of environmental regulations at the state and federal level is required.
The applicant should have interest in supporting a broad range of projects that reflect Farallons core practices in contaminated site remediation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental due diligence, litigation support, site investigation, vapor intrusion assessment, and in-situ and other site remediation, and site closure regulatory negotiations. Sediment investigations, water resources, natural resources permitting, and stormwater compliance are also additional areas of expertise considered a plus. Your proven track record of client and project development will be key to supporting the growth of Farallons Oakland California office.
The applicant must be able to communicate effectively with peers, clients, and regulators; demonstrate strong written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal skills; and to complete a range of field activities and project tasks with minimal supervision. The applicants primary responsibilities will be to manage projects and Staff level professionals, but occasionally may include field work. The applicant must have a valid drivers license.
