Organic Content Policy Associate Manager

Facebook is looking for an analytical thinker with experience in policy, government, business operations, or law to join our Organic Content Policy team. The team's mission is to create and communicate rules for our products that empower expression and foster a safe environment for people on Facebook.As an Organic Content Policy Associate Manager, you will work closely with a number of other teams at Facebook and Instagram, including our Community Operations, Product, Legal, Communications, and Public Policy teams. You will play a key role in developing, applying, and communicating our Community Standards both internally and externally. You will also manage high-profile content escalations. At times, you will be expected to make difficult decisions, under pressure about whether to allow or remove content.The ideal candidate will be an execution-minded professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They will be able to critically analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to policies and their implementation. They should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. Given the demands of content-related escalations, the candidate will sometimes be expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.Organic Content Policy Associate Manager Responsibilities* Help craft and implement content policies that take into consideration the needs of a global community.Collaborate with Policy, Product, Communications and External Stakeholders to drive policy improvements.Act as a global point of contact for high priority escalations and manage internal communications for policy issues.Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.Proactively identify gaps or conflicts in existing policies and develop scalable solutions.Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree6+ years experience in policy, government, project management, or operationsDemonstrate organizational and problem solving experience and experience dealing with ambiguity and autonomyExperience communicating cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-buildingExperience with international Internet/social media content issuesUnderstanding of Facebook products and principlesPreferred Qualifications* Law degree, MBA, MPP or other advanced degreeExperience working at a Tech CompanyExperience with international internet/social media content issuesFacebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
