Facebook is seeking a highly motivated team player to join our Infrastructure Construction Management Team as a Contract Manager. This position will play a key role in supporting all aspects of Facebook's data center construction contract management and administration and will provide guidance in those areas. The Contract Manager will partner with all levels across the organization to gather and understand operational and financial information to maximize contract value and reduce risk to the owner. The candidate must be experienced in contract development, including scope, pricing, contract structure, legal and pricing negotiations, and incentives. The Contract Manager will manage a variety of general construction contracts and will draft, develop, review and negotiate on the owner's behalf. They will also collaborate closely with project controls to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly cost booking and have involvement in negotiating change orders for various contracts. They will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the Preconstruction and Project Controls team to drive a cohesive and high impact contracts program. The responsibilities of this role include contract development, contract administration, collaboration with Sourcing Operations Engineering, Legal, Finance, Risk Management, Construction Management, Preconstruction and Project Controls. They will also work to find opportunities for processes improvement within the contract space, in order to drive consistency and efficiency across the organization, along with our cross-functional and external partners. In addition, the Contract Manager will develop, negotiate and execute a multitude of contracts, as well as recommend workforce strategy and development for pre-qualified contractors based on key performance indicators. However, project locations will be spread across the United States and the world. Managing stakeholders located across all regions and time zones is a significant challenge and is key to the success of our projects. Contracts Manager, Design, Engineering & Construction Responsibilities * Provide contract development, contract administration and contract management support to the ICM organization Partner with the Project Controls team to implement controls leveraging system to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly cost booking Manage the contract - including involvement through initial price negotiations, throughout project execution, potential change orders through execution and review for compliance Act as a liaison, between Project Controls, Construction Managers and the general contractor to enforce contract Assist with urgent audit requests and contracts look-ups Manage and respond to a high volume of daily contract-related inquiries Act as liaison between the Legal Department and internal business clients and external contacts Manage and coordinate various projects and contracts management responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance and tax departments Efficiently manage contract management system and procedures, including educating/training internal clients Assist with beginning to end process for contracts (sometimes includes assisting with approvals or signatures/electronic or wet signatures) Ensure that signed contracts are finalized, including communication to relevant parties Manage contract close-out, extension, or renewal and draft, review, negotiate and finalize certain forms of contracts, such as confidentiality and event agreements Develop and define KPIs for the purposes of Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews 15% travel to construction sites is required (domestic & international locations) Minimum Qualifications * 6+ years experience in the contract or legal space 5+ years experience as a paralegal or contract manager BA/BS degree Experience in change management and contract management Experience with various contract delivery methodologies Experience in methods of procurement Experience multi-tasking, reprioritizing, working independently and responding to inquiries Experience extracting, conveying, and understanding information from contracts Knowledge of contract administration principles Experience in all Microsoft Office applications (ex: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Sign (or similar electronic signing tool) Communications experience Preferred Qualifications * Construction and/or data center experience Experience in EPC contracting Familiarity in GMP and DBB contract delivery methods Experience learning quickly in a fast-paced and evolving work environment Locations About the Facebook company Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
