Overview
The National Business Development Territory Manager is responsible for generating specifications for the EF and Dwellings brands of carpet and hard surface products within the Multi-Family and Builder business channels. This position will work closely with sales territory managers across a geographic region and/or territory.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies and efforts to identify and engage prospects and sales targets within the defined scope of the role. Targets can include:
* Multi-Family Property Managers and Owners
* Purchasing Managers
* Single Family Home Builders
* Architects
* Designers
* Flooring Contractors
* Establish and build relationships within the Multi-Family and Builder segments including end-users and flooring contractors
* Research projects, customers, sales history and market conditions to prepare and present sales strategies and solutions to current and potential customers
* Develop and execute sales agreements and contracts
* Work closely with appropriate corporate roles and functions to ensure effective customer service, project execution and adherence to sales policies and practices
* Communicate effectively with the District Sales Manager
* Capture and provide accurate market data
Qualifications
* Previous sales and product specification experience in flooring or related field
* Professional and effective selling and customer service skills and abilities
* Proven ability to execute selling strategies successfully
* Effective written and verbal communication skills and abilities
* Ability to travel frequently, including some overnight travel
