Qualifications The position of Program Analyst falls within the 0343 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-9, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 02/26/2021. Specialized Experience Requirement: Experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. GS-09: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service that includes working with senior staff providing analytical support to an office; analyzing and evaluating management practices, methods, and administrative operations of an organizational unit; performing management and systems studies; gathering and analyzing data; preparing briefings, documents, recommendations and/or status reports. * OR- Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. * OR- Combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. Time-in-Grade: : In addition to the specialized experience requirement, applicants must meet the following time-in-grade requirement by the closing date of this announcement. GS-9: Applicants must have 52 weeks at the GS-7 or higher. Applicants must have at least a fully successful or equivalent performance rating to receive further consideration for this position.
