Dates for virtual programs are from opening to closing day.General Work Schedule (days of week)Residential: Monday through SundayVirtual: Monday through FridayGeneral shift hoursResidential: as needed, but generally 9 hours/day between 7:30 AM and 9 PM in residential programs. This position also requires 15-20 hours of preparation before each course, compensation for which is included in the gross amount noted in the employment offer.Virtual: Shift hours typically run between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central time, but may vary depending on time zones of residence of students and instructors. A typical day includes breaks, office hours and student self-study time. This position also requires 20-30 hours of preparation before each course, including scheduled team meetings and training sessions, compensation for which is included in the gross amount noted in the employment offer.Benefits Eligible? Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe Instructor in a Concordia Language Villages Language Training Center (LTC) program is responsible for instruction and overall implementation of a language-specific iso-immersion program as guided by the Lead Instructor/Program Coordinator. This includes planning and implementation of a variety of program elements, and may also include public relations, and interaction with the support staff from the operations areas at the Language Villages. The Instructor is responsible for implementing program elements that reflect the mission and immersion principles/methodology of Concordia Language Villages, that align with the parameters of the Concordia LTC model, and that are in accordance with the expressed needs of the LTC client. The minimum pay for 100% appointment is $850/week and includes compensation for advance meetings, training sessions and planning.Airline travel or mileage expenses related to getting to the training course in Bemidji, Minnesota, will also be covered or reimbursed.
