Palliative Care Medical Assistant - One (1) Full-Time Day Shift Position Available

Position Overview:

The Palliative Care Medical Assistant will be responsible for front and back office duties, focusing primarily on back office duties in the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic. The Medical Assistant must demonstrate the ability to work within a team setting with respect and ownership for professional practice. The Medical Assistant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. The Medical Assistant will show a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope. The Medical Assistant will deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to medically fragile and vulnerable patients and their families.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program.
  • Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office.
  • One (1) year of experience in using electronic medical health care record systems.
  • Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Associates Degree.
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in Palliative Care and/or Geriatric medicine.
