Job Description Job Title: Lead Application Analyst FLSA Status: Exempt Job Code: Pay Grade: 13 Date/Revision Date: July 12nh, 2021 Track: Professional Family: Information Technology Level: P4 Sub-Family: Application Analysis Job Summary & Responsibilities Job Summary This role serves as the team lead on an Epic Application, managing complex day-to-day requests from end users and technical team lead. This role will primarily be responsible for the development and optimization of existing system as well as helping to address complex end user needs. Serving in the role as technical team lead, this role will be responsible for project management of initiatives across the team, assigning tasks and ensuring that timelines are met and tasks are prioritized to ensure achievement of key objectives. Coordinates with team members to gather information and prepare organized, consistent and accurate status reporting on projects and Operations issues. Essential Functions * Maintain strong relationships with end-users and help to quickly and efficiently respond / solve any issues that arise with application * Analyze and work with Epic Managers, IT leadership and end users to define how efficiently applications are currently meeting organization and user needs, identify potential problem areas and proactively develop solutions * Work collaboratively across Epic teams to generate unique and innovative solutions to address user issues * Serve as technical expert and point of escalation for complex issues * Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives across the EPIC application solution platform, generate unique solutions proactively to help optimize system for todays and future system needs * Lead the project/issue initiatives end-to-end, work in collaboration with other teams and business users and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings, and maintain appropriate meeting records * Host meetings and help in project management for small-scale initiatives. * Continuously explore opportunities on workflow improvements and provide feedback to team members and managers * Assist manager with SLA management and issue resolution * Determine risk versus reward for customization and requests from practice's unique needs Key Skills * Technical expert in EPIC application, with broad skills and ability to operate across modules * Ability and willingness to manage and prioritize multiple assignments or tasks with potentially conflicting deadlines, desire to seek out additional assignments or tasks, and to help others * Ability and desire to quickly learn and develop new skillsets in a quick paced environment * Very strong team building and communication skills, both written and oral with key internal and external stakeholders * Ability to analyze highly complex systems and workflows * Ability to conceptualize, plan, organize, coordinate, and manage the work of a major program * Ability to engage actively in complex discussions, often on challenging and/or controversial subjects * Ability to influence and negotiate on behalf of others to achieve best outcomes for the department and each individual organization * Ability to handle conflict and project tension with appropriate grace, professionalism, cordiality, and firmness, and manage/resolve disputes appropriately Management * This position does not have direct people management responsibilities, may serve as informal team lead Qualifications Education * Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework and/or applicable military experience Preferred Education * Master's degree or other advanced degree in a related field Computer Science or related field Experience * 8+ years professional experience working with EPIC applications in a healthcare setting, preferably in an IPA or managed care environment Preferred Experience * 10+ years professional experience working with EPIC applications in a healthcare setting, preferably in an IPA or managed care environment Required Certifications * EPIC certifications vary by sub-role * Professional Billing Preferred Certifications * Claims Role Competencies Competency Level Description Core Competencies Collaboration Individual Contributor * Works cooperatively with Team members across the organization to achieve shared objectives * Partners with Team Members to get work done * Gains trust and support across the organization Excellence Individual Contributor * Regularly meets targets and metrics * Pushes Team Members to set high standards and performance targets and exceed them * Sets solid targets that drive results Compassion Individual Contributor * Contributes to a work climate where differences are valued and supported * Applies Team Members diverse experiences, styles, backgrounds and perspectives * Treats Team Members with kindness Integrity Individual Contributor * Acts fairly despite conflicting demands * Behaves in a way that is consistent with what he/she says around honesty, ethics, and integrity;
