If you need to create an email please visit Service - Shift SupervisorDuties & Responsibilities other duties may be assigned:* Practice safe food handling procedures at all times* Serves customers at the deli counter by listening to the request and obtaining the desired product* Trains employees on all opening and closing procedures. Ensures proper training on weighing, slicing, cutting and serving of deli products.* Assists in implementing and maintaining all marketing programs. Maintains price integrity and proper weights and measures as mandated by California State Laws.* Responsible for communication with the Food Service Manager & Store Director on all Deli Department related issues.* Assists with the maintenance of inventory control especially for theft, shrink, & waste management. Assists with managing labor & supply costs.* Responsible for using the tools provided by management to ensure the success of the department.Qualifications* 3 months supervisory experience preferred.* Strong communication skills* Posses the ability to handle high stress and volume of customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience for the customer.* Availability requirements include; but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:* Stand for long periods of time; walk; frequent use of hands.* Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.* Frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Other details* Pay Type Hourly* Santa Barbara, CA, USA
